Happy Thanksgiving
Happy Thanksgiving to all our readers from the Academic Perspective staff! Today is certainly a day to be thankful for all our success here at Academic Perspective, and we owe it all to you, our loyal readers. In honor of the Thanksgiving holiday, we will be taking a short break so we can work on more great content to bring you when we return. Academic Perspective will be bringing out daily articles after the weekend (beginning Monday, November 30th). In the mean time, we’ll be working on a lot of new articles as well as a couple of design tweaks.
This is a great time to visit the home page and take a look at any recent articles you haven’t read. If, like many of our readers, you haven’t been here from the start, take a look back at some of our first posts. Our initial set of feature articles written by the Academic Perspective editors covered some of the most discussed current issues: the financial collapse, Obama’s domestic and foreign image, the healthcare system, and education. Those four initial articles still remain some of our most popular, so I highly recommend you take a look at them if you haven’t already.
Also, if you haven’t already, please take the opportunity to subscribe to Academic Perspective via email, become a fan on Facebook, and follow us on Twitter. Help us reach our goal of 500 Facebook fans by the end of the Thanksgiving weekend. Right now we’re at 372, so with a little help from you, we can easily reach 500.
We are also very thankful at Academic Perspective for your comments. We love nothing more than to have our readers comment on the articles. Whether you add new insight, disagree with a point the writer made, or even just say that you enjoyed the article, we always appreciate your feedback.
Most of all, we thank you for being a loyal reader of Academic Perspective. The amount of support we’ve received from the community is incredible. 372 people are fans on Facebook, just under 50 subscribe either by email or RSS, and over 1,300 people follow us on Twitter. We’ve been visited 4,000 times and received nearly 200 comments. Other publications like the New York Times, Maplewood Patch, and the Maplewoodian were kind enough to feature Academic Perspective in an article. We’ve been a success from the start and have grown tremendously because of all the amazing people who have helped us. Whether you visited the site and mentioned it to one person or 1,000, we cannot thank you enough for helping make Academic Perspective the tremendous success that it is.
From myself, the rest of the editors, the writers, and everyone else involved with Academic Perspective, have a happy Thanksgiving!
