Jake Silberg
Academic Perspective Editor, Staff Writer
Jake Silberg is a Junior at Columbia High School. He became interested in politics and government during the 2000 election cycle and has followed it avidly ever since, covering the 2008 Presidential Election as a correspondent for Youth Radio. In addition, he served as a United States Senate Page this past summer, where he sat in on much of the healthcare debate and witnessed the confirmation vote of Justice Sotomayor. After battling cancer in 2007, Silberg became involved with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, most recently speaking at the Nation’s Triathlon in Washington, DC in September. He is almost 2 years cancer-free, and hopes to become a pediatric oncologist.
